Strawberry Fields

With grey skies and below zero temperatures the norm these days, it’s hard not to turn to heavy-duty down coats and comfy sweats. Inspiring me to get as much wear out of my own collection of coats, the Fall 2014 runway shows (Rochas, Dior, Chanel!) and a certain Korean drama have inspired me to play with as many options as possible for the remainder of the season. So to lift my spirits in this winter wonderland (if you can still call it that), I’ve simply been relying on colourful coats to beat the winter blues. Nothing brightens my day like channeling Little Red in the sea of winter coats.

Caramel Swirl

Hi everyone,

While it may be the calm after a storm, the shopping frenzy isn’t over with it being Cyber Monday today! What’s in your shopping bag this morning?

I don’t know about you, but layering becomes my best friend when it comes to tackling the biting winter weather. There is no better thing than having the option of peeling off pieces when it gets too warm while commuting via public transit.

Since sharing my top 10 coveted coats a few of weeks ago, I’ve bought three two coats (returned one after realizing three was a little excessive). I can’t wait to share them on the blog soon!

Before my little coat splurge, I’ve been wearing this vintage camel coat on repeat. Aside from my love of its oversized style, this lightweight coat makes for the perfect outerwear to layer over a knit cardigan (for that extra lining of warmth) without looking too bulky overall. Cumbersome down jackets are just impractical when one is hopping from one train to the next. Top it off with a blanket scarf and I’m ready to take on Mother Nature’s harshest winds in style.

Add a statement piece in fall’s favourite hues (oxblood or burgundy are great colours!) to a relatively neutral palette like my outfit for the perfect pop of colour!

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Haven’t done an outfit of the day for quite some time! Sorry for the hiatus, but getting together with my lil sis this study week has definitely inspired us to blog some of our winter essentials!orange chocolate truffle :: tseparfait

Sported this outfit when I went for afternoon tea with my best friends yesterday for a really really late Christmas gift exchange. Even though we only see each other literally 5 times a year, it seems like only yesterday when the 4 of us were sitting in our high school cafeteria talking and laughing about random things. Love these girls to death!

Winter outfits for me consist of layers layers layers! I love starting with a thin t-shirt and then layer a chunky knit sweater over that and then an oversized coat over that. Add a scarf to accessorize keep my neck warm and ta-da! Ready for the cold weather!
