Happy November!mens closet: schoolboy blazer x boyfriend jeans

This past weekend I couldn’t ask for a better way to start the month. Not only did my shutterbug/sister come back for the weekend, my best friends and I reunited (finally!) over early morning dim sum. What could possibly be better than never-ending Chinese food in a restaurant filled with chatter for us relatively loud girls? Nothing.mens closet: schoolboy blazer x boyfriend jeans

While it may have been quite the dreary bi-polar weekend, it didn’t stop me from getting dressed up (any excuse to get dressed-up, am I right?). I originally wore a pair of black heels because the juxtaposition of oversized jeans and feminine dainty heels makes for one of my favourite looks. But with the rain and running errands in the afternoon, I decided to switch to a pair of practical black leather booties.mens closet: schoolboy blazer x boyfriend jeans

Borrowing this look from the men’s closet, I paired a schoolboy blazer with my favourite pair of boyfriend jeans that I practically live in when it comes to the weekend. Nothing beats a pair of roomy distressed jeans on a chilly damp morning.

Currently in love with my newly gifted Celfie tee that I’ve had my eyes on since I saw it on Sincerely, Jules. I already have my eyes on a couple other logo tees (here and here).

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN x HOLT RENFREW

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

christian louboutin x holt renfrew event

Last Friday, I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the Christian Louboutin x Holt Renfrew event in Toronto to meet the designer himself. In town for the opening night of the Christan Louboutin exhibition at the Design Exchange last Thursday, Louboutin met and greeted customers (ladies and gents!) to sign new purchases made that day.

Though I didn’t go the opening event, I heard it was absolutely amazing. Apparently, the whole exhibition consists of a collection of 250 pairs of his special lust-worthy shoes. Visiting the exhibition is definitely on my summer bucket list!

These two pairs are only a sneak preview of what the exhibition has to offer. =)

Though the signing event was only 2 hours, Louboutin was a gracious man who stayed an extra hour and half to sign shoes for those eager fans who came early that day to wait in line. It was an event that made me feel truly anxious (not knowing if I would get cut from the line any minute), but I’m glad it turned out for the best. My best friend knows what I’m talking about. 😉

Spending a good 2-3 minutes with each customer, Louboutin took the time to chat with each of his guests. As one of the last people to meet him, he did not look tired at all and instead smiled and told me how grateful he was to meet us. He was honestly such a sweet man!

For him to sign my very first pair is a dream come true. ❤

EMERALD BOW-TIE :: McQueen Skull Silk Scarf

Hi everybody,

Happy Wednesday!

Since the weather has significantly gotten cooler, this outfit should be the last of the summer outfits. So goodbye shorts and hello sweaters & scarves!

Remember my obsession admiration for McQueen scarves? Although I usually love draping these light scarves over my tops, I love to find different ways to wear them. So here I am sporting it in a non-conventional sense by tying it into bow for a more “school-inspired” look, minus the heels of course. =)

Loving this emerald green this season! It’s such a nice colour to bring to fall outfits, especially if you want to add a punch of colour to a very neutral colour-centred outfit like mine.

This purse has become my all time favourite. It’s one of those throw-everything in-because-I’m-super-late-and-I’m-rushing-out-of-the-house-but-don’t-want-anybody-to-know, kind of bag. =)

Anyways, we just want to apologize for the lack of posts this month. Getting into school mode is definitely a lot more difficult than we had thought. So bare with us because we’ve still got some style muses, dapper gents, and restaurant recommendations coming your way. If you want to connect with us on a daily basis, follow us on Instagram to get a glimpse of what we’re up to!
