A trip to Japan is never complete without heading to an onsen, aka a Japanese style hot spring. Taking a break from the fast-paced city of Tokyo, our family friends took us on a road trip to two towns by the east coast, Hakone and Atami, which are well-known for their onsens. While I was unable to take photos of the onsen itself (I was able to sneak a pic of the tastiest breakfast ever!) , I thought the drive from Atami to Hakone was my favourite part of the trip. From the picture-postcard view of Mount Fuji to the quaint streets and boutiques of Hakone, it was quite the picturesque day any tourist can ask for.

Thanks for reading!

Till next time,
